The Molding Company, Inc. was founded in 1995 by our current president and lead designer, William F. Czagas (Bill). He retired from AT&T/Lucent in late 1994 after 38 years of service, where he had worked as the Senior Molding Design Engineer. During his career with AT&T/Lucent, he was responsible for the molding technology related to designs and manufacturing of all molded products at the NC location for military and commercial customers.  He led all the molding design effort on numerous government and commercial molding projects. With his early credentials as an instrument tool and die maker and his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering he achieved over 40 years experience in molding technology dealing with thermoplastics like Polyethylene and Polyurethane.

The other core members of the TMC staff also have extensive service with AT&T / Lucent / General Dynamics. They include A.B. Henley, W. F. Czagas, and B.T. Whitesell.

A. B. Henley (Brooks) has over 35 years experience in electronics manufacturing with the last 22 years in high reliability manufacturing for underwater products. He has a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a Registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina. He worked with Bill in high reliability manufacturing. In addition he was a manufacturing project engineer preparing quotes, setting up manufacturing processes and plans and representing AT&T to the US Navy customers. He was intimately involved with the molding portion of these jobs.

W. F. Czagas, (Billy) brings over 12 years experience with AT&T as a manufacturing and field support engineer. He has a BS Industrial Arts Education for shop operations and various credentials related to our industry needs. In addition to working close with his father on mold design evolution and equipment improvements, Billy conducts all the field support, shipboard support and customer training required to work with the molding of thermoplastics for our commercial and military customers.

B.T. Whitesell (Barbara) brings 25 years of experience with AT&T/Lucent where over 15 years has been in the poly testing, material evaluation, molded part inspection and critical supplier selection.
