The Molding Company is involved with several different aspects of thermoplastic molding. Our core business is the design and development of custom thermoplastic molding solutions and molding equipment. We also consult on problems dealing with underwater cable, cable terminations, penetrations for high pressure vessels, over molding and cable joining. We have designed solutions for cable jacket restoration, cable terminations, cable lead breakouts, cable splicing, and hydrophone housings. Our experience in polyethylene, polypropylene and molded thermal polyurethane allows us to design, fabricate and deliver solutions needed to produce high reliability moldings for sub sea applications. Our equipment is tailored to rugged shipboard environments but will work as well in a factory application or engineering laboratories.

We are currently developing new seal concepts for use in the commercial cable industry. We are also working on new ways to design molds that will decrease their operating labor cost while increasing the speed in which molding can be accomplished.

We have designed a new generation portable molding system. This system is capable of increased temperature and flow control necessary to accommodate the more complicated molds while decreasing the time to do the moldings. This system can be used in a wide variety of global locations for both on land and ship requirements.
